This astonishing kit is pre-owned, and the hull has been started, very expertly. It appears to be very much complete, with all documentation, photo-etched parts, and numerous fittings.
Mantua Models is world-renowned for its superb-quality wooden model ship kits, with this, HMS Victory, being their most popular.
In Manuta Models own words...
HMS Victory is a 104-gun ship of the line of the Royal Navy, built between 1759 and 1765. She is the oldest naval ship still in commission and the only remaining ship of the line. She sits in dry dock in Portsmouth as a museum ship.
The kit features double-plank-on-frame hull construction, building plans with general details, English Instructions, lost-wax brass castings, walnut or lime planking, wooden masts and spars, brass and walnut fittings, etched brass details, rigging cord, and silk flag. Now revised with laser-etched stern galleries. All sheet ply sections are laser cut for accuracy.
Worth noting, from Mantua Models own website: 'We can supply all the materials, tools, parts, and all the supplies needed to make these highly detailed wooden models.'... just in case anything is missing.
Currently selling for an RRP of £359.00, this kit represents great value at £249.99, and is such an impressive piece when finished.
